On the Datto appliance you do not need to perform manual restore jobs for your audits.

For this Datto has the Screenshot Verification feature, which is a local virtualization restore that the Datto runs automatically to one of the backups of the day for each machine and it takes a screenshot of the booting process. If the screenshot is successful, it means that the backup is healthy. And that screenshot is sent as a notification every day as an email to the account you have set up for notifications on the Configure Agent Settings option. You only need to present this screenshot to your auditors as the restore test for the local backups.
